Stuffed Pear Salad

 Stuffed Pear Salad

today journey

Came across this by accident...but Lordy, does it bring back a flood of memories. Stuffed pear salad is a real thing, and it was a staple at every holiday, special occasion, and Sunday dinner when we were growing up. I used to get to assemble each little dessert plate, carefully arranging the components with love and anticipation. The crispness of the lettuce leaves provided a refreshing base, complementing the delicate sweetness of the perfectly ripe pears so I thought I would share my recipe with you, guys.

  1. I made these back in the '60's usually when we were having guests for dinner. Also made this salad with peach halves.
I didn't use Miracle Whip, I used Hellmann's mayonnaise, and mild cheddar cheese.
