Cinnamon Roll Recipe

Ingredients

  • 3 cups bread flour
  • 1 packet of rapid yeast
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 tablespoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons dry powdered milk
  • 2 eggs, well beaten
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3/4 cup warm water
  • 1 beaten egg (for egg wash)
  • Cinnamon sugar (to coat the dough)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Dough:
    • In a mixing bowl, combine the dry ingredients - bread flour, rapid yeast, sugar, salt, and dry powdered milk. Stir until well mixed.Prepare the Dough
  2. Combine Wet Ingredients:
    • In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, vegetable oil, and warm water.
  3. Combine Dry and Wet Ingredients:
    • Pour the wet mixture into the bowl with dry ingredients. Stir until a dough forms.
  4. Knead and Let Rise:
    • Knead the dough well until it forms a smooth ball.
    • Cover the bowl with a plastic bag or plastic wrap and allow the dough to rise until it doubles in size.
  5. Roll Out the Dough:
    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
    • Once the dough has doubled in size, remove it from the bowl and place it on a floured surface.
    • Stretch and roll the dough into a rectangular shape.
  6. Add Cinnamon Sugar:
    • Brush the dough with the beaten egg, leaving about 1 1/2 inches from one end uncoated.
    • Sprinkle a generous amount of cinnamon sugar evenly over the egg-coated area.

  7. Roll Up the Dough:
    • Carefully roll up the dough, starting from the end coated with egg and cinnamon sugar.
    • Moisten the uncoated end slightly with a little water to help it adhere to the roll.

    • Place the rolled dough slices into a baking dish that has been lightly greased.

    • Allow the rolls to rise fully in the pan before baking.

    • Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-18 minutes or until they are golden brown.
  11. Make the Icing:
    • While the rolls are baking, prepare the icing by mixing 1 cup of powdered sugar with 3-4 tablespoons of milk.
  12. Enjoy:
    • Once the cinnamon rolls are done baking, drizzle the icing over them.
    • Serve and savor your freshly baked cinnamon rolls!
