Grilled cheese is a hot sandwich that is made with one or a combination of cheeses on bread then toasted. A classic American sandwich recipe that everyone loves!

Ingredients
- 4 slices of thick french bread
- 4 oz cheese, american or mild cheddar
- 4 Tbsp unsalted butter, room temp
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp Italian seasoning

In a bowl, combine together the butter, garlic powder and italian seasoning.

Spread butter on the inside of the bread slices. Add half of the cheese onto one slice and close with another slice of bread. Repeat with the second grilled cheese.

Spread butter on the top and bottom slice of bread.

Add the grilled cheese into a skillet and cook over medium/low heat. Cover with a lid and cook until the cheese is melted and the bread is toasted.
