Honey Baked Ham

  • two liters whole milk
  • one onion
  • one clove garlic, peeled and split
  • one cube of ginger
  • two g, allspice, whole berries
  • ten  black peppercorns, whole
  • two to three sprigs of fresh thyme
  • one ham from 3.5 to 4.5 kg
  • one whole green cardamom pod
  • one stick of butter
  • one hundred eighty g honey
  • thirty ml Worcestershire sauce
  • fifteen ml cider vinegar
  • 10.5g Dijon mustard
  • 2.5g white pepper
  • one  large pinch of cloves, ground
How to Make Honey Glazed Ham
Take a large pot and pour the milk. Adding onion, garlic, ginger, allspice, peppercorns, thyme & ham. Cook over medium-low heat, stirring, until milk comes to a simmer. Do not boil. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for a few hours. Carefully turn the ham from time to time. Using meat thermometer to check temperature at 71°C in thickest part.
